Trempelmarkt

Germany’s largest downtown flea market in the historic old town.
The Trempelmarkt, the name comes from the Franconian word “trempala” for small area. Already 400 years ago there was a second-hand market in the courtyard of the town hall.

Beer festival

The Franconian Beer Festival 2023, will take place from 29.5. until 2.6. in the moat of Nuremberg’s Imperial Castle, which always creates a very special setting for the festival.

Rock im Park 24 (7.6 – 9.6.2024))

From June 7th to 9th, 2024, Rock im Park, or RIP for short, will take place at Nuremberg’s Zeppelin Field. The line-up includes mega acts such as Green Day, Die Ärzte, Måneskin, Avenged Sevenfold and Queens Of The Stone Age.

The DTM is ready for 2024, from 5.7. – 7.7.23.

Bardentreffen

The 47th Bardentreffen in Nuremberg (July 26 – July 28, 2024) in Nuremberg’s city center is an annual three-day open air music festival in Nuremberg in the summer. More than 200,000 visitors of all ages flock to the picturesque squares and historic courtyards of the old town every year to hear singers and groups from all over the world, free of charge. The always surprising program includes 90 concerts on 9 stages and is completed by the offer of hundreds of street musicians, who also find an enthusiastic audience from all over Germany between the official stages. For the Süddeutsche Zeitung, it is “the biggest free & outside music festival in Germany”.

Nürnberg Pop

The Nürnberg Pop Festival (9.10. – 12.10.23) is southern Germany’s largest club and showcase festival. In various cultural venues such as churches, museums, clothing stores, record stores, on rooftops, public squares and, of course, in clubs and cultural centers, concerts are held as part of the festival. This is where the music world and music fans meet to exchange ideas and quench their thirst for good humor and musical enjoyment together. The associated Pop Conference offers a wide range of panel discussions, lectures and workshops on all aspects of the music industry and culture.

Christkindlesmarkt

Every year the Hauptmarkt is transformed into a Christmas city of wood and cloth, the Christkindlesmarkt. The Nuremberg Christ Child opens his market every year on the Friday before the first Advent. The traditional offer – gingerbread, mulled wine, Christmas decorations, handicrafts, toys and sweets – puts you in the mood for Christmas.

The Christkindlesmarkt takes place from November 29th to December 24th.
